Baranzate Ateliers: creativity beyond (city) limits

The former Necchi factory on the outskirts of Milan comes alive during Design Week with the Belgian artists of Zaventem Ateliers

There are still some forgotten places that conserve an inimitable charm and offer a perfect setting for installations and exhibitions. Places where few people usually go – but during Design Week these locations can attract a large audience.

One of them is undoubtedly Baranzate Ateliers: an abandoned industrial building that becomes an ideal stage for the creations and products of Zaventem Ateliers, which together with the friends of Galerie Philia (presenting the first collectible series by Studiopepe), Everyday Gallery, Modern Shapes, Ben Storms, Atelier Serruys, Mircea Anghel and Bela Silva will bring new life to the Baranzate zone – previously not involved in the Fuorisalone program.

This poetic former production site is going through a creative renaissance: a message of hope that brings out the beauty of the works, in harmonious contrast with seemingly post-apocalyptic setting. Baranzate Ateliers will become a place open to all, a crossroads of exchange and sharing between designers, artists, collectors, architects and design fans who want to discover the universe and creative energy of Zaventem Ateliers, with their innovative vision of contemporary living.

Because the Fuorisalone is also this: a moment for socializing and informal, playful interchange. Where the best synergies emerge over a glass of wine.
