Material takes center stage, becoming the defining characteristic of an intimate essence: the craftsmanship and artisanal techniques of the ceramic world converge to elevate an ideal of tradition and family. It’s from this premise that Ariostea‘s project for Stef restaurant takes shape — an enchanting venue in the heart of Trani. Amidst glimpses of white stone and Mediterranean aromas, it narrates a story of passion and innovation. Evolving from a tradition established in 1997 by the De Cillis family, the project gains new life thanks to the vision of the young Stefano. He has skillfully transformed his paternal inheritance into a unique gastronomic and sensory experience.

Ultra Pietre Infinity Black by Ariostea
This is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of authentic flavors and refined atmospheres, where meticulously selected raw ingredients merge with a design that speaks the language of contemporary elegance. It is within this context that Ariostea enters the scene, an exceptional partner in creating environments that evoke emotion through material. The project, developed with D’Introno’s consultancy, stands out for its skillful use of the brand’s technical ceramic surfaces, which become central to a refined and bold material dialogue. Each space is designed to narrate a part of the venue’s story, in a crescendo of visual and tactile impressions. This is particularly evident in the open kitchen: the beating heart of the experience, the Ultra Pietre Infinity Black cladding creates a dramatic backdrop that highlights the chefs’ movements, transforming the preparation of every dish into a spectacle to behold.

Ultra Marmi Patagonia by Ariostea
This visual narrative continues into the wine cellar and at the counter, where the Luce surface, with its silky-soft appearance, adds a touch of discreet and sophisticated elegance. The story culminates in the main dining room with Ultra Marmi Patagonia slabs. Their warm, enveloping veins evoke the earth, passion, and the restaurant’s distinctive element: meat. Even service areas like the restrooms become an integral part of the experience, thanks to the use of Ultra Marmi Verde Karzai. This introduces a note of originality and freshness, all without compromising technical requirements and high hygiene standards. The choice of Ariostea surfaces meets not only aesthetic but also functional criteria: durability, hygiene, ease of cleaning, and longevity are essential qualities in a restaurant environment.

Beyond these technical performances, what truly makes this project special is Ariostea’s ability to transform material into emotion, to give form to an identity through textures, colors, and contrasts. Stef is the realization of a dream that unites past and future—a place where every detail is designed to welcome, surprise, and leave an indelible memory. Through Ariostea’s materials, ceramics transcend their function to become atmosphere and poetry, recreating a setting where elements don’t just furnish, but bring memories to life.
