Matter and memory

Henge takes part in the Rebis project, the first restaurant by chef Giovanni Di Giorgio, blending contemporary design and history in a dialogue of matter, light, and transformation

In the heart of Desenzano del Garda, inside the historic Palazzo Garibaldi, Rebis comes to life: the first restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Giovanni Di Giorgio with Alice Nicoletti. A project that bridges eras, with Henge interpreting space and material. Led by architect Isabella Genovese, the design reflects the principles of contemporary alchemy: transformation, harmony of contrasts, and respect for context. From the Ozone monolith with the Skyfall light installation to the open kitchen that dissolves barriers between dining room and culinary gesture, every space becomes an experience.

The Shift tables and the Hexagon and Jill seating combine sculptural form and function, while the lighting design enhances natural materials and 17th-century frescoes. In the intimate and theatrical Private Room, the Ted table and suspended Starlight lamp take centre stage. Rebis is where design and memory meet, shaping a sensorial and visionary experience.
