For the fifth consecutive year, Atlas Concorde and its brand Atlas Plan (specializing in large-format porcelain slabs) took part in the Venice International Film Festival. From August 27 to September 6, the Lido hosted “La Terrazza by Atlas Concorde”, a space created at the renowned Hotel Excelsior, a landmark of the Festival.

The project, designed by Park Associati, was conceived as a meeting place for directors, actors, and industry professionals, while also functioning as an installation that unites material and vision. The hotel’s terrace, inaugurated in 1908 and historically tied to the Festival, was transformed into a stage where Italian design engaged in dialogue with the language of cinema.

For the setting, Atlas Concorde and Atlas Plan surfaces in the Taj Mahal and Sky Stone finishes were employed, placed in conversation with a historic and highly evocative context. The project emphasized the relationship between aesthetics and function, highlighting the interplay between tradition and contemporaneity.

For the installation, Atlas Concorde partnered with leading names: Artemide, with its Takku and Se | eS lamps—the latter customized with Atlas Plan materials; Modulnova, whose kitchen combined efficiency with formal research; and Fast, which provided seating solutions designed to merge outdoor living, comfort, and design.

The result was a space where every detail played a narrative role, transforming the installation into a full experience. The terrace became a setting dedicated not only to conviviality but also to reflection on the cultural value of design, understood as a tool capable of fostering relationships and atmospheres.

Within this context, created for the Festival’s audience, Atlas Concorde also hosted a special event coordinated by IFDM, which brought together international architects and companies from the kitchen design sector.
Founded in 1969 and now present in over one hundred countries, Atlas Concorde thus reaffirms its strategy of engaging with international cultural contexts, bringing to Venice an example of Italian design that combines technological research, consistent production, and the ability to interpret contemporary languages.
