The art of weaving by Illulian

The company presents its new Quantum Dance collection, created in collaboration with artist Jessica Moritz, at Downtown Design Dubai

The ancient tradition of weaving meets the expressive language of contemporary art. Illulian reinterprets the ancient craft of weaving, creating rugs that resemble works of art. The brand’s approach combines technique and poetry, a combination that finds perfect synthesis in its collaboration with artist Jessica Moritz and the resulting Quantum Dance Collection. The company is therefore showcasing it at its exhibition at Downtown Design Dubai – a setting where art, innovation, design and craftsmanship harmonise perfectly, in total harmony with the brand’s vision.

At its tenth consecutive appearance, Illulian is exhibiting a rich and distinctive overview of its different souls: from the Limited Edition Collection to the Design Collection, from the Essential collection, which celebrates the purity of craftsmanship through minimalist designs, to the Palace collection, characterised by classically inspired decorations. But it is the new Quantum Dance Collection that captures the attention: light vibrates across its surfaces through textures and tonal shades, and surprising effects of depth and perception arise from geometric and colour compositions.
