BDNY, the New York hospitality trade show, closed its 2025 edition, confirming its status as a benchmark for design and networking in the sector. A highlight of the fair was a series of immersive environments that transformed the exhibition space into a study of contemporary hospitality design, to be explored and experienced: Dine & Design – in an expanded format for 2025 – showcased products and ideas that are shaping today’s restaurant and bar environments; at the heart of the installation, The Alchemist, a fully operational café space designed by the Aria Group, demonstrated how atmosphere, materials, lighting, and service combine to create a highly sensory experience.

Furthermore, Mazzarini & Co‘s Châlet Après for Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy reinterpreted the warmth of an alpine retreat through rich textures, natural materials, and modern aesthetics. The Splash Pad by DREAM Hotels and Nivek Remas translated the vibrant energy of the pool environment into mirrored surfaces, bold geometries, and engaging sounds. Finally, Midnight Garden by DesignAgency created a dreamlike landscape of lights, movement, and colors. Together, these environments highlighted the many ways in which design can transport, surprise, and shape the guest experience.

In line with this vision, the representative and training spaces have also been redesigned in an imaginative way: the BD Mainstage, entitled “La Clairière” (The Clearing) and designed by the international firm Saguez & Dash, recreated a forest setting to host the main conferences; while the BD Hub, designed and sponsored by Wayfair, was a lively destination for emerging visionaries, hosting sessions dedicated to new technologies, sensory and emotional design, and inclusive and sensitive environments.
