The numbers surrounding Brera Design Week 2026 speak for themselves. The Brera district remains one of the main creative hubs of the Fuorisalone. The 17th edition will feature 217 permanent showrooms, including 9 new openings, and more than 300 initiatives making up the seven-day program. Acting as a unifying thread is the theme “Essere Progetto” (Being Design), which guides the entire Fuorisalone proposal: an invitation to look at design not only as a formal result or final product, but as a cultural process, an attitude and a responsibility in building relationships between people, places and communities. Following this inspiration, showrooms, companies, designers and cultural institutions transform Brera into a widespread urban laboratory.
Here are some of the main highlights, starting with the world of kitchens.

Inside its showroom, with a setup curated by Zanellato/Bortotto, Valcucine presents Crafting Forward, a project exploring the meeting point between industrial innovation and contemporary craftsmanship, shaping a new idea of the kitchen as an evolving ecosystem. SieMatic instead celebrates the kitchen as a space of identity, creativity and inspiration through the project Colourful Tomorrow. The Architecture of Perception at Fondazione Adolfo Pini. Meanwhile, high-end built-in appliance brands SKS and LG Built-in reflect on the role of innovation in the food value chain. In the year LG celebrates the 30th anniversary of its arrival in Italy, the SKS showroom on Via Manzoni hosts the installation Feeding the Future.

Arpa
The surfaces sector is also a key protagonist. Arpa, together with FENIX, Formica, Homapal and Getacore, presents a preview of ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouchs, the third episode of the exhibition project curated by Federica Sala, hosted in the FENIX Scenario spaces. Florim presents a project celebrating its presence in the historic heart of Milan, developed in collaboration with Nicola Gallizia and Matteo Thun, titled Piazza Castello – Milano gentile, at its showroom in Foro Buonaparte.

Associations are also at the forefront with “Arts & Crafts & Design”, the new collaborative showcase bringing together Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte with Doppia Firma, the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity & Craftsmanship with Homo Faber Fellowship, Serapian with The Secrets of Mestieri D’Arte, and Creative Academy with Treasure Island, hosted at Casa degli Artisti. The Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation also presents the works of 12 designers – from Bethan Laura Wood to Raw-Edges – through an immersive exhibition at the historic Palazzo Citterio in Brera, exploring Uzbek craftsmanship alongside the culture and ecology of the Aral Sea region.

glo™, Palazzo Moscova
Not to be missed is also the exhibition project by glo, returning to Palazzo Moscova with an installation by Numero Cromatico: at its center, a large interactive portal that elevates technology to a poetic presence. Also noteworthy is the installation “Chasing the Sun”, created by Veuve Clicquot and artist Yinka Ilori, hosted at Mediateca Santa Teresa.
