These principles have always been at the core of Febal Casa’s design philosophy, combining contemporary design, tailor-made solutions, and a wide range of proposals to create personalized interiors capable of meeting every living need. According to the brand, the home is conceived as an integrated system in which spaces interact through continuity of style and concept. Attuned to the transformations of contemporary living and new residential models, the company creates both furnishing collections and entirely new living environments.
Functionality, lines, materials, and finishes are thus adapted to accommodate the most diverse lifestyles: these are not simply furnishings, but atmospheres that redefine the relationship between domestic space and those who inhabit it. This innovative vision was interpreted through the concept “Home, wherever you are | If it’s Febal, it’s Home. Anywhere.” presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano. “A principle that defines a continuous and coherent design approach applied to all living spaces – from showrooms to trade fairs, contract projects, and our customers’ homes,” explains Emanuel Colombini, President and Chief Design Officer of Colombini Group.
The new lifestyles identified by Febal Casa embrace opposite yet equally relevant aspects of contemporary living: from wellness to dynamism, from comfort to slow living. Specifically, these moods are Wellbeing & Vitality, Life & Motion, Cozy & Quiet, and Relax & Slow Living, recreated within the exhibition setting at Salone del Mobile through the living concepts Natural Rationalism, Tech City, Nordic Ease, and Comfort Way, each defined by dedicated design solutions, character, and performance.
Onda by Febal Casa, design Zaha Hadid Architects
To interpret the desire for “Wellbeing & Vitality” within domestic spaces, Febal Casa presents the Onda island. Developed in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects, the proposal embodies a style where rational design meets natural materiality, creating a balance between rigor and sensoriality. A distinctive feature of Onda is the design of its doors, which convey calm, serenity, and vibrant tactility: crossed by gentle waves, they evoke the depth and shifting reflections of water, offering an aesthetic in constant transformation.
The inspiration comes directly from the waves of the Adriatic Sea along the Romagna Riviera, which shape the sandy coastline. The island enters the space with an iconic presence, enhanced by its recessed base (presented during Milan Design Week in the exclusive Optimum Green Moon finish). Urban dynamism and the presence of technology in domestic living, associated with the “Life & Motion” mood, evoke a strong compositional rhythm and an idea of the home that encourages relationships and movement – between people and among the home’s different spaces.
This is reflected in the Origina kitchen, featuring a C-shaped layout and Over carcass system, distinguished by the introduction of display cabinets with Aurora doors and the new Square Frame door. Origina is conceived as the focal point of conviviality, particularly thanks to its essential and rigorous central island, designed for cooking, storage, organization, and hosting everyday moments. The Origina system was created to interact with the other rooms of the home, especially the living area.

Also in the spotlight are the “Cozy & Quiet” atmospheres, which remain central to contemporary interior trends. Their language is one of reduction and balance, expressed through neutral tones, soft textiles, and contemplative lighting. In the living area, the Modula kitchen system, with its linear and precise character, interprets this lifestyle, while in the sleeping area, Febal Casa proposes soft compositions and furnishings with great visual lightness.
Complementing this design philosophy is the Libeskind022 door, designed by starchitect Daniel Libeskind and presented in a Metal Viva lacquer finish integrated into the Sessanta bookcase: the wall is thus transformed into an architectural gesture, composed of lines and volumes that create a balanced composition. Finally, contemporary living also reflects a profound desire for “Relax & Slow Living”: slower rhythms, harmonious compositions, and emotionality conveyed through natural materials.
At the heart of this vision is the Italiana kitchen: Massimo Iosa Ghini imagined a solution defined by strong symmetry and a metal insert (made from the same material as the handle) that becomes the distinctive feature of the entire composition – from the freestanding cooktops placed beneath a dramatic hood, to the display cabinets and open metal elements, all the way to the side panel of the island.
