LaCividina | Filinea

A true tangle of lines and forms, the Filinea armchair by Antonino Sciortino is made with slender steel rod, conveying the impression of sitting almost on air

Nature is a source of inspiration for Antonino Sciortino, the Sicilian artist-artisan who began his collaboration with LaCividina precisely with the Filinea model. The structure is entirely made with slender steel rod that reminds us of the intricate branches of Euphorbia tirucalli, a plant that is widespread in southern Italy.
The practical production of this chair that weighs just 7 kilograms is made possible by the skill of the artisans of LaCividina, who create the individual silhouettes and then join them at different heights to form a single piece.
